Default Word 2007 Autocorrect options

When I type "comm." without quotes into either Word 2007 or Outlook 2007 it
will automatically change it to "comm.." adding a second period to the end.
I've checked the autocorrect options and gone through the list of words it is
set to autocorrect but I can't figure out which option is causing this.

I can tell it not to correct this from now on but if there is a reason it is
correcting this I would like to know in case it affects any other words I
should be aware of.

Cheers!
