Default How do I remove a border?

I'm using Word 2003; I've pasted some text from one document into another,
and the border came with it. When I try to remove the border using Format =
Borders and Shading.... , the border just jumps to a different line. How do I
get rid of that pesky border altogether?

First, turn off the automatic border lines in Word by clicking on Tools
| AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat As You Type | uncheck the "Border
lines" box | OK. This step will prevent newly pasted text from
acquiring borders. Then select all of the text you just pasted in (not
just the one line or paragraph with the border) and remove the border
through Format | Borders and Shading. See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Format...AutoFormat.htm for more
information.
