Mail Merge in a Specific Section
Hi there,
Trying to Merge Excel data into a rather extensive document. When Merging to the New Document it repeats the Boiler Plate text, both above and below the merged area. I'm hesitant to merge the boiler plate text from a txt file, because of the document's complex formatting and TOC. In short, is it possible to specify an area of the document to merge, leaving the other parts of the document unaffected? Is my only option inserting the merged document into the main document with VBA? Thanks for your help. Manda |

The only part of a document that is affected by the mailmerge is the
replacement of the mergefields with the data relevant to each of those fields from the datasource. Therefore, unless I misunderstand your application, there is no reason for you to be doing anything other than executing the mailmerge. -- Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be interested. Thanks Doug... I was trying to merge the document. When in fact I
simply preview and print. The issue now is trying to run through my document and remove all of my clipart (originally used as placeholders for images)...I'm beginning to realize that if there is over 300 images in a word doc (even if their clipart)...it's a big problem. Any third party apps that assist in pulling in images from an image bank? Trying to keep this 100 page doc as small as possible. Million thanks, Manda |

If you save the document as a web page, all of the images will be removed
from it and placed in a separate folder bearing the name of the document. -- Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be interested.
