I don't think there is a way to have Word detect when you delete text.
What you can do (in the user interface) is check the "Update fields" option in Tools | Options, Print tab; that way, you'll always get an updated TOC when printing the document. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "ovalet" wrote in message ... hi, i have created a long word doc with index of pages in the content table. can i know if there is any feature that can automatically update my content page with page numbers when a section(a few pages) is removed? thank in advance! |
