Default Help with layout symbol

I've found that sudden word is using strange symbols in order to show spaces,
when I enter down a line in shows a paragraph symbol and when I tab over a
space it shows these strange little circles as opposed to just showing the
space. Everything prints out as it should, without these strange symbols but
I find them confusing when I'm trying to make a proper layout. I'm not sure
why this suddenly started happening and I can't figure out how to get rid of
these symbols - help?
