Default Macro for bold text using wildcard

I have a long macro in Word 2003 for formatting a bibtex document into a neat
publications list. But I cannot get it to format the author's line bold. I
saw a similar problem in FAQs with italic font to bold and tried it out but
it's still not right. I want to format .Text = author*yes (using a wildcard)
into bold but the macro simply deletes the text instead. (The word "yes"
replaces a } sign which will not work with wildcards.) I only know as much
VBA as I have picked up by editing a recorded macro and putting two and two
together,I'm afraid! Also, when I type the word Bold my PC automatically
changes this to bold with a small letter, does this have anything to do with
it?
