Default access violation error w/scansoft pdf converter pro 2

Their tech support says there is known problems with win xp sp2. Their fix
is buy ver.3 The problem is when you try to convert a large document. The
actual error message is: Error:Access Violation at xxxxxxxxxx(tried to
xxxxxxxxxx).Program terminated. Any ideas?

What does this have to do with Microsoft Word? Word has no inherent ability
to convert PDF documents.
