Default Table of Contents

I'm using templates to create standard documents and recently my ToC
hyperlinks have been screwing up. I get the following error.
Opening ""
Hyperlinks can be harmful.... Continue Y/N
I click yes and get
Cannot open specified file

I've rebuilt the template and the ToC works from that file, but even when I
link the older documents into the new template the ToC doesn't work.

Please help...

First of all, a TOC query does not belong in the Word Tables group. But
it looks like you have empty hyperlinks - in other words, a hyperlink
that points to nothing.

the hyperlink points to #_Toc184457749

So, where do you think it belongs...

Try deleting and then recreating the table of contents.

If your hyperlink is not empty then I have no other suggestions.

Not sure what is the problem, but your document might be corrupted.
Try copying the old document without the last paragraph sign (use
show/hid to make them visible if you haven't this standard on) and copy
the content into a new document. This works fairly often so is worth
trying.
