how can I stop UNC paths searches from within Word / Office ?
I have a Win 2003 network with XP Pro Clients. I do not want users being able
to have access to anything but the drive letters I specify. But from within word they have the ability to open UNC paths and I want to disable this. Help please |

Hi Adelphi
As I understand it, permission to access a drive or folder is an operating system and network issue. Word will respect the permissions granted to the user by the operating system or network setup. In short, this isn't a Word issue: it's an OS issue. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly. Microsoft MVP. http://www.shaunakelly.com/word "Adelphi" wrote in message ...
