Default Outline view and automatically update

Hello,

I have a template my work group uses for proposals. The template has
customized styles created for the Company as well as for Customer RFP
requirements. The company styles start with an * such as *Heading 1,
*Heading 2, etc. These were manual numbered headings.

A user changed the *Heading XX styles to numbered Heading Styles. Now when
a user wants to change the level of the heading style via outline view, the
style does not automatically update, i.e. change the chapter number.

As an example

1. Executive Summary (*Heading 1)

1.1 Updates (*Heading 2)

1.2 Management Overview (*Heading 3) This style was changed in outline view
to make it Chapter 2.

1.3 Assumptions

1.4 [CustomerName] and ABC Company (*Heading 3)

Based on the above sample, the user is trying to find a way to have this
*Heading X styles automatically update if the outline order is changed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
