Default MS Office 2007 beta - Can I use the Word XP Portuguese spell check

JHello, everybody!

I've recently upgraded to MS Office 2007 Beta. Since it does not come with a
spell chcker for Portuguese language, is there a way of using my Word XP
Portuguese spell checker?

Thank you!

Probably not. Each version of Office comes with changes to the spell
checking engine that render previous language unusable with the new one.

Default I managed to use Portuguese Spell checker in Word 2007

tActually, I can! What I did was very simple:

1. After I realized that there was no spell checker for Portuguese in MS
Office 2007, I inserted my installation CD for Office XP.

2. In the installation options, I reinstalled ONLY the proof tools for
Portuguese Language (I did not install any program or any other function).

3. I opened the word and... voilĂ*! It recognized any mistakes in Portuguese,
gave me the correct word as well as the Thesaurus corresponding synonyms.

Thanks,

JJM
