Default Sorting mail merged labels by unique number

I am hoping someone can tell me how I can do this. Monthly, I update our
mailing labels with additions and changes from a database. Each has a unique
number. When I add in new names, they always end up in the wrong location
for their unique number. Is there a way to sort them after I have added the
new people?

Thanks,
Dayla

Can you be more specific please? It isn't completely clear what you are
doing. Are you manually maintaining a Word data source by finding and
applying additions and updates in a database? If so, which version of Word
and what type of data source are you using?

Although you can sort lots of different kinds of data source, what I suspect
you really need to do is merge them in sorted sequence, which is a slightly
different thing because you should be able to do that by applying a sort
ctiterion - but exactly how to do that depends on the version of Word.
