Hi ?B?RnJlbmNoeQ==?=,
When i try to copy and paste information from the internet it says error, insufficient memory or disk space. I've done this many times and never had a problem until now. It is only a 2 page letter i'm trying to save. I have plenty of hard drive available and i have 256 RAM but it says 36 RAM available. Are you trying to copy/paste when you see the message? Or are you trying to save? Version of Word? What are you copying from the Internet, more exactly? Cindy,
What i do is copy and paste my bank statement onto microsoft word then save it in a folder on my hard drive. I've done this many times but it just started giving me this error message. I tried copying and pasting an airline reservation and it worked fine so i just can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using word 2002 and it gives me the message before it even pastes the information so i don't even have the chance to try and save it. Suzanne's suggestion is a good one, but here are my thoughts on the problem you're experiencing... Word shows this message when it runs out of space in the files it uses to track you're editing changes. This has nothing to do with the actual amount of RAM or free hard-drive space; it's an internal thing. What you can try doing is closing all applications, then cleaning up your TEMP folder, and any files laying around that begin with ~ or end with .tmp. (Especially where you save your documents). "Web page, complete," saves the text in an .htm file and the graphics as
separate files in the same folder or a subfolder. "Web page, single file" saves the entire page in a single file. The first version, which extracts the graphics, represents the way the page actually exists on the Web and can be more convenient if you want to be able to use the graphics files in other documents. -- Suzanne S. Well i've tried everything ya'll have suggested with no results. It's wierd
that i can copy and paste some things but i just can't do it with my bank statement the way i used too and it just started doing this. There has to be something i'm missing or some small thing i can do to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This has nothing to do with the actual amount of RAM or free hard-drive space; it's an internal thing. What you can try doing is closing all applications, then cleaning up your TEMP folder, and any files laying around that begin with ~ or end with .tmp. (Especially where you save your documents). Hi ?B?QW5uYSBTdW1tZXJz?=,
So what is happening is that Word is failing to clean up after itself as it goes along and leaves trash everywhere? Generally, Word does clean up after itself. But if it crashes, then things do get left behind. At least, I never see anything (when Word isn't loaded) that's left over unless Word has crashed. (And, before you get on about that g, crashes I've experienced with Word 2003 usually it come from testing code and trying out "dumb" things :-) ) However, Word has little or no control over the contents of the Windows TEMP folder. Windows tends to let things accumulate here and it's useful to occasionally go in there and just delete the whole lot. Hi ?B?RnJlbmNoeQ==?=,
Well i've tried everything ya'll have suggested with no results. It's wierd that i can copy and paste some things but i just can't do it with my bank statement the way i used too and it just started doing this. It's quite possible that the BANK has changed the coding to display the page, and it may be something Word internal converter can't properly interpret.
