Default Style Separator and Automatic Numbering

When adding the Style Separator to a paragraph with Automatic Numbering, A
"number" is continued to the second part of the paragraph (after the
separator), although you can't see it. This causes 2 problems. First, the
next paragraph number is skipped (i.e. 1.3 instead of 1.2) and second, if you
remove the number, the left margins will reset to 0". Does anyone know of a
way to stop this from happening?

The point of the style separator is to separate two different styles. In
this case, you should be using a numbered style for the first part of the
paragraph and an unnumbered style for the second.

Thanks. I found a way around it by creating a macro that applies the
separator and then modifies the style after to either Body Text 1, 2, 3, or
4, which I customized to fit the numbering schemes. Thanks again.
