Default Corrupt table problem...

Following editing a word file, the next time it opens an error message
is seen saying that a table corruption has occurred. The net result is
that Word freezes and has to be shut down. Does anyone know why?
Additionally, is there any commercial software that can scan and
'repair' documents such as this and allow the document to be
re-opened?

Regards,
John

Have you tried using the Open and Repair option?
