Default How do I stop my table from splitting?

I have a table and the first column is formated as paragrpah headers at
varius levels. So say the first row is "header 1", 1.0 . Then there are
enough rows after it as "header 2", 1.x , to cross over to the next page.
Only instead of wrapping to the next page, it splits the table between row 1
and 2. Row 1 stays on the first page, row 2 starts on the 2nd, and now there
is 10 inches of dead space on page 1. How do I stop it from doing this? I
wish I could upload a sample file.

Try this:

1. Select (highlight your entire table, or the part that you don't want to
split).
2. From the menu bar, select Table Properties.
3. On the Row tab, select Allow to break across pages.
4. Click OK.
