Display part of a number in Word XP
I am using Word XP to build a mailmerge letter and I am importing my
data from a ; delimited txt file. I am running into the issue with importing because the txt file has numbers listed as 00470 and I need it to just say 470 when I merge it into the document. Is there a way to tell Word XP to only show the last 3 digits and not the first two? |

Toggle the merge field (ALT+F9) and add the following switch \# "#"
thus {Mergefield Fieldname \# "#"} This will remove the leading zeros from the number. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org jdawgnat wrote: I am using Word XP to build a mailmerge letter and I am importing my data from a ; delimited txt file.
