Locking Customized Toolbars in Templates
I modified the styles in an existing template and also created a customized
toolbar that contained the styles. I emailed it to a co-worker, but the toolbar was not present or available in the ViewToolbars menu. Did I do something wrong? If I want a customized toolbar to be attached to a template, do I have to create the template from a blank sheet, or can I just modify an existing template? Please help! |

Locking Customized Toolbars in Templates
Hello WTiF
Word Table is Flickering! wrote: I modified the styles in an existing template and also created a customized toolbar that contained the styles. Did I do something wrong? most probable explanation: you did not save the toolbar in the template, but somewhere else (presumably: your Normal.dot). Observe the dialog closely when you create a new toolbar: Word asks you where to save it, and Normal.dot is the default. Now that it's done, you can go to Tools | Templates and Add-Ins | Organizer | Toolbars, and copy the toolbar from Normal.dot to any other template (or document if Word lets you).
