Default can word do film scripts

i have been asked to type a film script. does word have the format ability
to do this or is there a microsoft program available to download

You could do it with Word - heck, you could even do it with Notepad.

Default can word do film scripts

The folks who buy filmscripts can be very persnickety about format --
templates definitely exist for all the different elements of one, but
it might be best to find out exactly what the particular studio or
agent wants to see, and design your own set of styles to use.

But to answer the OP's question, yest it can be done in Word. Format is a
