Word doc permissions from HTML link
Quick question I can't seem to find a previous reference to: I've got
a MS Word doc linked off a secured intranet HTML page. I want the group who has access to the page to be able to modify the .doc working copy I have linked there. Whenever anyone opens the doc from the HTML page, it opens as "read only". If I open it from the server's directory where it's stored, it opens with full permissions. I've played with all the permissions and the document currently has a "no restrictions" designation. What triggers the "read only" status of the doc when viewed from an IE browser? Thanks. Coff |
