why does my new document look like graph paper?
That solved the problem! Thanks very much!

The same is true of my notepaper templates. The sqares don't print or show in print preview but they are very distracting while working on the document. Display the Drawing toolbar, click the Draw button at the left end, select Grid from the popup menu, and uncheck the box for "Display gridlines on screen". I have no idea how that box gets checked if you've never visited the dialog. -- Regards, Jay Freedman http://aspnet2.com/mvp.ashx?JayFreedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |
