Default deleting recent documents from menu drop down window

I don't know how to get rid of unwanted projects that located in the
micorsoft button drop down menu?

If you have Word 2003 or earlier, you can press Ctrl+Alt+number-pad-minus to
get the "destructive cursor" which looks like a large bold minus sign, and
which executes the ToolsCustomizeRemoveMenuShortcut command on whatever menu
item you click next. Use it to click and remove the entries from the recent
files list. (This does not work in Word 2007.)

But be VERY careful with this! Read

know what to do if you remove the wrong item.
