Default Line Jump

Can anyone help me with this problem? The first line of my page is lower than
where I would like to have. Each time I delete a line to have it move up one
it jumps up to the previous page. Is there a way to stop that?

Also, in some instance where I have bullet statements I cannot get single
lines. The space between bullets seems to be double spaced when it should not
be. Appreciate any info provided.

It sounds as if your paragraphs have some Space Before/After.

Click on "File", "Page Setup", click the "Layout" TAB and see if the "Page",
"Vertical alignment" is set to "Justified". If so, change it to "Top". If
not, holler back.
