Default Add the last name "Birchfield" to Auto correct.

There are many people in the world with the last name Birchfield that should
not show up under as incorrect.

You can add any name to your custom dictionary. Right-click on the word and
choose "Add to dictionary." This has nothing to do with AutoCorrect.

If every proper English surname in the World was added to the dictionary,
the dictionary would be unbelievably overloaded . Think about how many last
names with spelling variations there must be! Birchfield is not even in the
top 500 surnames listed in the 2002 ONS list. You have much work to do to
get it up there!
When I type Birchfield, the dictionary suggests BURCHFIELD - so there is a
variation listed.

Perhaps a change in perspective will help: The fact that a spell checker
flags something doesn't mean that it is necessarily *wrong*, it just means
that it isn't recognized. As Suzanne suggested, adding anything you wish to
a Custom Dictionary is a simple & effective solution.
