Default guides for making templates

Hi,

I'm new to making templates in Word and want to learn the proper way to
do it.

Right now I'm wondering how to make some text editable and how to make
forms so the user only has to check what he wants.

For information on templates, see these articles:

For help with protected forms, see

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...nesInForms.htm.

To the other (excellent) reforences on templates (which is a broader term
than online forms) let me add my own:
http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.

Hope this helps,
