Default how do I hide getting started bar on opening word docs

have recently had 2003 installed. When I open up a document there is a bar
that appear on the right of the screen called "Getting Strated".

How can I suppress this?

In the menu, choose Tools - Options - View. The very first item under show
is "Startup task pane". Remove the check next to it.

And if that doesn't do the trick, get the Task Pane Controller add-in from
