Default cursor position

There is supposed to be a toolbar at the bottom of the screen that tells you
the exact position of the cursor (page, column, row), among other things. One
day I noticed it was gone and I have no idea how to get it back. I don't even
know what its technical name is so I have had trouble searching the help
databases for it.

What is it called and how to I get it to reappear?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "Status bar"
box | OK.
