Can a Word page be divided into sections(like in WordPerfect)?
I'm trying to re-type some old documents in Word, and I have one WordPerfect
document that I have divided into 4 sections. I have looked everywhere in Word for this option, but I can't find it anywhere. FYI---In WordPerfect, each divided section has it's own margins...like having mini pages on one page. |

Try inserting four text boxes or four frames on one page.

Word doesn't quite have this concept of more than one logical page on a
physical page, at least not beyond two: for that you can use the "2 pages per sheet" option in the Page Setup dialog. -- Suzanne S. I'm not familiar with this WP feature, but I can envision the layout in
either of two ways. If the sheet is divided into quadrants: 1 2 3 4 You might consider using a 2x2 table, no borders, & set the cell margins to whatever each needs to be. If 4 consecutive parts: 1 2 3 4 You can use InsertBreakContinuous Section Break at the end of each of the first 3 sections. Although that would allow setting separate margins for each section, many printers have a problem 'switching horses in mid stream', so section breaks or not I'd be tempted to use right & left indents rather than varying the actual margin settings. If you want text to flow from one mini-page to another, insert text boxes and
link them. If each mini-page will be independent, then a table of 2 rows and 2 columns is the easiest to work with. -- Ted |
