Default Page numbering total

In Word 2007, how do I put the page number and the total in the footer? For
example, I want to put "Page 3 of 5". I can see how to do the "Page 3" but
not the 5.

You would do so in pretty much the same way as in earlier versions by using
a NumPages field in the footer.
Simplest way is to Press CTRL+F9 then type Numpages between the brackets.
Then F9 to update and if necessary ALT+F9 to toggle the display.
