Default what does the "widow/orphan control" button do and how does it di.

what does the "widow/orphan control" button do and how does it differ from
"keep lines together" in the paragraph properties?

Lonnie,

Window/orphan control prevents a single line of a multi line paragraph from
being "orphaned' at the bottom or top of a page. Keep lines together keeps
a single paragraph from being split (anywhere) over two pages.
