Default Help me with my dropdown!!!!!!

When I add a dropdown list and add items in the list it doesnt show
any of the items but the first one It doesnt even look like a dropdown
list, it looks like a text field. I've been going round and round with the
software trying different things but to no avail and Word Help is no help!

I have clicked the protection "off" from the Form toolbar, per the Help
instructions. It is a .dot document (tpl).
