track changes problem: all changes attributed to "author"
Word 2003 hung up on me recently. Now whenever I mark up a document in track
changes mode, it appropriately highlights the changes with my name in the yellow boxes (which is good), but when I save the document, it defaults those changes to "Author" instead of my name and in my non-personalized color (which is the problem). It seems like something got corrupted, but I don't know how to fix. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Hi Robert
Tools Options Security. If the box "Remove personal information from file properties on save" is ticked, then Word will take out your name each time the file is saved, and replace the author's name with "Author". For more information on this option, see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...901021033.aspx. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly.
