Default how do i remove 2 column setup for word documents?

for some reason whenever I pull up Word, the doc wants to create 2 columns on
the page instead of a full sheet. How do I reset this to always just come up
with a regular full page doc?

You'll need to modify Normal.dot. For tips on finding it, see
