Default "Word cannot open the document." and "Document Recovery"

Her is Microsoft other broken feature. We have had Office 2003 closed
abnormally. Since it starts op every second time with the "Document Recovery"
window on the left site. One document listed here, which is not longer exist.
I am trying to get read of this "Document Recovery" windows showing up with
this list which i do not even care about. (Nice feature Microsoft!) any help
appreciated.
