Delete key only deletes the first word of the selected text. WordimPerfect
help is NOT checked.

Hello-

Actually, that _plus_ the 'Navigation Keys...' check box need to be cleared,
but that doesn't seem to apply to the situation you describe. With
either/both checked, the Delete key doesn't delete anything. If all but the
first word is being deleted there must be something else going on.

Can you supply more details, including what version of Word?
