When I download text from internet it comes out in codes..all numbers and
letters. I am using MS 2002 and reinstalled it and it still happens.

I haven't the foggiest idea what program you are using, but
will assume MS Word 2002. Open Notepad (Start All
Programs Accessories Notepad) Select the text on the
Internet page, copy to the clipboard, paste into Notepad.
Select all in Notepad, copy to the clip board and paste
into Word.
