Next page section breaks
I have a very large document with 17 Next page section breaks. When I create
an index for this document (2 column), it changes the Next Page break that occurs before the word "Index" to a continous break and messes up all of my footers. It also changes several other next page breaks in the document to continuous breaks and totally messes up my document. I am totally aggravated and totally stumped. Any advice? |

Next page section breaks
Hi ?B?VE1TcGF0cw==?=,
I have a very large document with 17 Next page section breaks. When I create an index for this document (2 column), it changes the Next Page break that occurs before the word "Index" to a continous break and messes up all of my footers. It also changes several other next page breaks in the document to continuous breaks and totally messes up my document. I am totally aggravated and totally stumped. Section break management is a touchy beast, in some versions of Word more than others. My advice would be to insert the Index, press Alt+F9 to view the field codes, COPY the Index field code. Alt+F9 again. close the document without saving. Re-open the document and paste in the Index field (in the appropriate section). Click in the field and press F9 to force the update.
