Default Is it possible to print characters bigger than one sheet of paper

I want to make templates of large letters to use as a pattern for cutting
wooden signs. Is it possible to do this on A4 sheets? The letters will be
slightly larger than A4 but I dont mind having to tape the sheets together. I
just cant seem to get Microsoft word to make the file this way.

All you need is a very large single character on a single sheet. Why is that
difficult?

This is not possible. Word cannot span pages with single characters. If you
have access to an A3 printer you could print bigger characters.

I missed the "more than" one sheet part.
