When opening word, the same file opens every time. It doesn't open to a
blank document like usual. I found the file that it's opening but can't see
any settings on it that would cause it to do this. I deleted everything in
that file and saved it, but still when you open word, what it used to be
still appears and it says New Document 1 up in the top left bar. Anyone have
any ideas on why or how to fix this. Thanks very much in advance for any
suggestions.

Did you inadvertantly edit the "normal.dot" file? This is the template the
new documents are based on...
