Re-generate a Table of Figures
I had trouble with a Table of Figures, so I deleted it thinking I could just
regenrate it again. Several times I've tried to regenerate it using the Table of Figures dialog box. I get the typical question "Do you want to replace the table?" and when I select Yes, nothing happens. Does anyone know a solution to this? Thanks. -- Maggie Prince |

Re-generate a Table of Figures
Hi ?B?bXByaW5jZQ==?=,
I had trouble with a Table of Figures, so I deleted it thinking I could just regenrate it again. Several times I've tried to regenerate it using the Table of Figures dialog box. I get the typical question "Do you want to replace the table?" and when I select Yes, nothing happens. Does anyone know a solution to this? First, make sure you're seeing all the non-printing characters (the "backwards P" ¶ symbol on the toolbar). Then press Alt+F9 to turn on the field codes. Do you see anything that starts with { TOC where you had the Table of Figures, or tried to insert a new TOF? Or anywhere else in the document (you can use Edit/Find to search TOC) Cindy Meister INTER-Solutions, Switzerland http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister (last update Jun 17 2005) http://www.word.mvps.org This reply is posted in the Newsgroup; please post any follow question or reply in the newsgroup and not by e-mail :-) |
