Default A Hyphen in a URL link forces all the text behind to the next line

Is it possible to override this behavior? It creates a huge gap in the link
and forces the rest the link onto the next line making it look like this.

Hi Sam,

see: http://tinyurl.com/

otherwise, no solution.

The text simply doesn't fit into one line.
You may use a condensed font, smaller font size,
switch to landscape, whatever.

You may somehow prevent the text to be wrapped at the dash.
Then it would be wrapped somewhere else.
You may be able to prevent wrapping at all,
then a part of the text would vanish outside of the printable area.

If you don't need the URL to be clickable, you could substitute a
nonbreaking hyphen (Ctrl+Shift+Hyphen), and then Word will break the URL
when the line is filled. Better, though, to specify your own preferred break
point using a no-width optional break; this can be inserted from the Special
Characters tab of the Symbol dialog, or see
