Why bullet precedes line numbers?
Using MSWord 2000, when I turn on line numbering [1], the
line numbers are preceded by a bullet. The bullets appear both on the screen and when the document is printed. When the same document file is viewed using MSWord 2003, the bullet prefixes are not there. (Good.) Any idea why the bullet prefix appears when using MSWord 2000? More importantly, any idea how to get rid of the bullet prefixes when using MSWord 2002? I am not sure the bullets were always there. I was surprised when I noticed them only recently. I might have overlooked them before. But I think I would have noticed them if they had been there earlier. So it is possible that I did something advertently that enabled the bullet prefixes. I am hoping there is an option to disable them. ----- [1] Line numbering is enable by going to File - Page Setup - Layout and selecting Add Line Numbering and Continuous. |
