Default how can i format the font in word 2007 to say outline and shadow?

Much of what you describe is on the Home Tab of the Ribbon in the Font group
as well as on the Mini Toolbar that appears when you select text. The
remainder you can get to by clicking the Dialog Launcher for that group (the
little square button @ the right end of the group's nameplate).

IIRC, you can also call up the Format Font dialog in Win Word by using the
keystroke: Control+D.
