Dan,

Perhaps you could explain what you're trying to achieve - changing from 2-column layout to 4-column and reducing the page size both
amount to a change in the document's format.

Cheers

Just how do you expect to do that?? Have you heard the expression "10 pounds
of **** in a 5-pound sack"?

You could use the Scaling option in the Print dialog to reduce the 13x19
page to 65% of original size to fit it onto an 8.5 x 14 sheet -- only on
paper, not on screen -- but that would still be the original two columns.
Depending on what font size the original had, you might still be able to
read the reduced text. Anything else would probably be "losing format",
depending on how you define "format".

My advice would be to start with a blank new document at 8.5 x 14, format it
for four columns, and use the Insert File command to bring in the text of
the original document. Format it however you like, but I suspect that if you
try to cram it all onto one page the result will be too small to read.

If you have any further details, please state them instead of that idiotic
"same as Subject".
