Limit number of lines within a cell
Hi,
I've got a word file that acts as a form. It has a few tables and some of the cells can contain multiple lines in a cell. How can I setup the table so that - it doesn't expand when I enter a new line - it doesn't let a person to enter more lines than what can be displayed (so, no scroll bar) Any hint appreciated! Set the row height to the *exact* amount that accommodates the lines and the

But that doesn't prevent people from writting more lines than visible. Or did
I miss something? I got to a similiar result - table with exact row height and a field in it. Limit number of lines within a cell
Yes it does allow more text to be entered, but it will not distort the
table. Not perfect, but I can live with this.

Limit number of lines within a cell
In a Word 2002 form document I have a single table cell 2"x3", meant to be a
text box. I tried to limit the number of characters being entered as you suggested earlier. It doesn't work but keeps on taking additional characters beyond the bottom of the box. Limit number of lines within a cell
The number of characters that can be entered in a form field is limited by
the Maximum Length property of the form field.
