Find Replace all uppercase
hello:
I'm using the Find/ Replace and am *NOT* checking the "match case" option. However, the replaced text is in all uppercase. How can this be turned off? I want the replaced text to appear as entered. Thanks, Germaine |

Check the "match case" option, and enter the "Replace with" text
in lower case. But if the "Find what" text appears in the document in different cases (upper case, lower case, and title case), then you'll have to run find/replace several times to replace all of the case variations in the "Find what" text. Make sure you are not applying formatting to the "Replace with" text (it
will show under the box if any is applied). Put your cursor in the box and press "No Formatting" if it is not greyed out. -- Enjoy, Tony "Bettergains" wrote in message ... hello: I'm using the Find/ Replace and am *NOT* checking the "match case" option. Hi Graham:
I'm not sure I understand your answer. I prepended this to the "find what" text and got an error. So then I prepended this to the "Replace with" text and it appended the text to the exisitng text. But sounds like there is something similar but close to this? ^& as a replace string puts back the found text - however on re-reading your
question this may not be what you required. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Bettergains wrote: Hi Graham: I'm not sure I understand your answer.
