Hi all,
Is-it possible, in word XP, to de-activate the automatic spelling mistakes detection for only one named document. Thank-you by advance. Karim. |

If all your other styles are based (directly or indirectly) off Normal then
if you set the Normal style to "Not Check Spelling or Grammar" (under Modify Style Format Language), it should propagate through all other styles in the document. Depending on how you are using styles you may have to change one or more other styles as well (or instead). Alternatively, as a one-off you can Select All and go to Tools Language Set Language and check the same box. The limitation with that is that won't carry forward into new text added to the document. If you want to disable just the display ("Check spelling as you type"),
check the box for "Hide spelling errors in this document" on the Spelling & Grammar tab of Tools | Options. This still permits manual spell checking (F7). If you want to disable the spelling checker entirely, then Ctrl+A to Select All, then go to Tools | Language | Set Language and check the box for "Do not check spelling or grammar." -- Suzanne S.
