Default Formatting and Numbering Restore

I saved a large document written in Word 2000 and have opened it on my own pc
in Word 2003. The documents formatting (i.e. it's numbering, indenting, tabs,
table of contents etc.) have all disappeared to give 25 pages of unformatted
text. When I try to centre one line, the whole document is centered. Is there
any way I can restore its original formatting, numbering etc?

Thanks,
Stephen
