I would like to know if there is a way to count en show the number of times
a document is printed in the footer.

You would need a pair of macros in the template on which the document is based
(preferably *not* the Normal.dot template) that will run when the document is
printed -- see http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Macros...tSavePrint.htm.
The macros would have to do something similar to the numbering done in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/NumberDocs.htm, and then do the actual
printing.
