You can record a macro and assign any keyboard shortcut to it.
See these links for more information: Creating a macro with no programming experience using the recorder http://word.mvps.org/faqs/macrosvba/UsingRecorder.htm How to assign a Word command or macro to a toolbar or menu http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...oToToolbar.htm On 6/22/05 8:11 AM, "Charlie" wrote: Is there a way to make the default paste to be "Match destination format", as that's what I always use and I always have to click on the paste icons and choose this. thanks, ck -- Daiya Mitchell, MVP Mac/Word Word FAQ: http://www.word.mvps.org/ MacWord Tips: http://www.word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/ What's an MVP? I don't quite understand this answer. Here's my question in more detail. Is
there a way to change the default behavior of the smart paste feature. When I paste something from another document, it pastes, retaining the stye/formatting, and I always have to change it to "Keep text only". Is there a registry hack or some other permant way to make it so when I paste something it default pastes it with the "Keep text only" smart paste option? thanks, ck |

Another alternative is to access Tools, and the Options, within options you
can modify your "user preferences", in the Editing section. It should give options like: "Allow fast pasting" and a few others. It might not work, but you can try. If you share what version of Word being used, someone else might be able to give something more specific. "Charlie" wrote: I don't quite understand this answer. Here's my question in more detail.
